• House Bill 2083 passed on May 27, 1995. This bill
  empowered Municipal Courts with the authority to
  appoint volunteers for
• Citizen involvement
• Timely enforcement
• Reduction of disabled parking abuse

Volunteer Requirements

• Background check
• Release form
• Waiver
• Training program

Volunteer Limitations

• Not peace officers
• Cannot enforce other civil, traffic or criminal
  laws
• Cannot possess or use weapons while enforcing
  disabled parking
• Are not compensated by the City
