- Prescott Memorial Library was named in honor of
the first President of Louisiana Tech, Col.
Arthur Taylor Prescott
- The library houses a collection of more than 1.5
million volumes, over 2,700 periodical
subscriptions, more than 35,000 maps and many
electronic resources - The Electronic Reference Center is situated on
the Main floor (2nd) provides 20 computer
workstations for research. Also located on the
Main floor is the Reference Desk, Reference
Collection, Circulation Desk, Reserve Collection
and Government Documents Reference Collection - 10th Floor houses the Student Technology Lab with
50 computer workstations, providing Internet
access and word processing programs
- Prescott Library is one of only 53 U.S.
Government Regional Documents Depositories in the
United States and is also a Louisiana State
Documents Depository - 3rd Floor houses the periodical collection,
microforms and the Forestry Library
