9Teacher Preparation ?
- A masters degree may or may not make a
difference in student achievement - Years of experience do not positively effect
student achievement after the first 4 to 5 years - Education courses taken before teaching may or
may not make a difference in performance - A teachers literacy level is shown so far to
be the best predictor of student achievement - Degree in subject matter vs. degree in education
may or may not be an influence on student
achievement - What about the high achieving individual?
