Return ALL handpieces handpiece components to
CMS immediately

Return scaler for sterilization

Select proper materials barriers
Use vinyl gloves

NOTE Alcohol will damage chair upholstery

• Birex contains no alcohol
• Birex is safe for all chair surfaces

Disinfection of Clinical Contact Surfaces
A Two-Step Process
Step 1 Clean to remove blood/debris
Step 2 Wipe again to disinfect

Use gloved hands
Dispense cleaner on fresh 4x4s

Step 1 Wipe all surfaces to remove blood/debris

Step 2 Soak another gauge
Wipe all surfaces again to disinfect
Birex must remain on surface for 10 minutes

Step 2 Wipe all surfaces again to disinfect
