Superintendent and Staff Concerns
  • Several schools in the north are significantly
under enrolled. It does not appear that the
District will need to purchase an elementary
    school site in Robertson Ranch.
  • Calavera Hills will have a total capacity in both
sides of 1323. Enrollment will be in excess of
1323 in 2008-2009. This presents a concern that
may have legal, financial and educational
    implications.

16
Concerns
  • Aviara Oaks will have a total capacity of 1841.
Enrollment will be in excess of 1841 in
2007-2008. This presents a concern that may have
    financial and educational implications.
  • Pacific Rim has a capacity of 972. Enrollment
will be in excess of 972 in 2010-2011. This
presents a concern that may have financial and
    educational implications.

17
Concerns
  • 5. The new school in the southeast quadrant will
not open to begin the 2006-2007 school year. If
it is not ready for students in 2007-2008, Kelly
may not be able to house the students from new
    development.

18
Concerns
  • 6. Tangentially related to the available
classrooms are several other issues. The Kids
Care program could serve more families if space
were available. The ability to schedule early
bird, late owl kindergarten is limited when space
is unavailable. The District is prevented from
considering a full day kindergarten where space
    is unavailable.

19
Concerns
  • 6. (continued) In the spring of 2006 a referendum
on universal pre-school will be presented for
voter consideration. If approved it would have an
    impact on classroom space.
