Many People
Few People
A key operating assumption of building capacity
is that different groups of people will have
different levels of need for PI knowledge and
skill.

30What we Learned!!!
Communicate, Communicate, Communicate Spend the
time necessary to know the stakeholders within
your organization and have strong communication
plan to alleviate concerns/resistance that will
occur!
1
Build a Foundation of Support Spend time up
front to ensure that the Oversight Group and the
Sponsor understand how the they will work
together to support the efforts. Failure of
this group to build a working relationship will
make success hard to achieve!
2
Stay on Task Scope creep will kill your project
so stay focused using your project business case
as the anchor. To help with this, your problem
statement needs to be clearly identified with a
SMART goal along with a clearly identified
benefit to the organization!

answers)
33M M Exercise What did we Learn?
- Rapidly trying and learning
Only failure is the failure to try - Document tests
Do not make same mistakes - Sharing and learn as a group
- When solution found
Write steps down - There is no one single way to succeed
