• to promote a better understanding of how the
  Spine supports and enables the delivery of the
  NHS CRS
• to examine in further detail two key components
  of the Spine (and how they fit together with
  locally deployed systems) to create the care
  record
• a definition of PSIS and CSA
• current status of the functionality
• how it works and its roll out
• delivery timescale for functionality

PSIS Core Functional Summary

• PSIS in 2006b will be initially populated by
  extracts of data from the GP system of the
  patients Registered GP.
• GP Summary initial extract
• Major diagnosis, allergies, adverse reactions
  and medication
• GP Summary extract
• Updates to initial record
• There will be no other methodology for updating
  PSIS in 2006b.
