  • Can check if your account is active by remote
    log-in now (ssh)
  • ssh xyz_at_elnux1-7.cs.umass.edu
  • Initial password should be ELXXXYYY
  • XXX last 3 digits of student ID number
  • YYY first 3 letters of student user name

  • By default, forwarded to your university email.
    Can change this by changing the .forward file in
    your home directory
  • Your feedback for submissions, announcements will
    all go to this email address
  • Check your university email address regularly

  • Will submit your projects to autograder, which
    also checks for plagiarism
  • One submission per day with feedback
  • You get 3 bonus submissions per project counted
    automatically after the first submission in a day
  • Feedback to your email
  • This is not a debug tool You must test your
    code for different cases yourself before
    submitting.
  • Feedback often will not be detailed enough for
    you to debug
