- Dance (Standard 7) making connections between
dance and other disciplines. - Music (Standard 8) understanding the
relationship between music, the other arts, and
disciplines outside the arts. - Theatre (Standard 6) comparing and integrating
art forms by analyzing traditional theatre,
dance, music, and visual arts, and new art
forms. - Visual Arts (Standard 6) making connections
between visual arts and other disciplines.
7Why Make Connections?
- Students who receive a balanced curriculum and
possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities to
transfer and connect ideas and concepts across
disciplines will be successful as measured by
standardized tests and other indicators of
student success.

August 2006 at Arapahoe High School in
Centennial, Colorado, United States. - The presentation "went viral" on the Web and, as

others who saw it at conferences, workshops,
training institutes, etc.).
