Common Course Numbering System (CCNS)
  • CCNS is a statewide program in which academic
discipline groups ensure certain courses are
similar enough in content and purpose that
students can transfer courses from one
    institution to another.
  • More than 1800 courses make up the CCNS
  • Discipline groups, in eighteen discipline areas,
are currently meeting to expand the System and to
build in competencies. Additional groups will
meet during SY 05-06 and still more groups will
    meet during SY06-07.
