but it would be appreciated if it can be used
wherever possible. To ensure that emails being
sent out to you are being read/received, please
can you now set up the email forwarding service
as belowshould hopefully take no longer than
5-10 minutes to set up then test.
2If you have not already done so, use the link at
the bottom of this page to go to the webpage
shown - get your login name and password by
following the instructions from the new
Students link.If there is a problem you should
use the Contact IT Helpdeskhelp line etc in
the first instance.

3Use this web address to access Webmail directly
rather than going through The Portal on the
previous slide.

4You need to open Filters which is under
Options
then click on the Forward rule
this will have a cross against it initially
showing it is not presently enabled.
5Please keep this box checked so that you will
have a permanent record of all your University
emailsthere shouldnt be a problem with mailbox
size (at least in the short/medium term).
Change this to the address you wish your
University mail to be automatically forwarded to
Then click Save then Return to Rules List.
6If this is still crossed then you can click it
to enable
7i.e. it should be shown as ticked in green as
shown
8Click on Log Out to exit.
9Finally check the service is working by sending
an email to your Leeds University email
address. If this is successful, please could the
forwarded email then be forwarded again
to p.r.riley_at_leeds.ac.uk so that your contact
email is changed to just your University one.
