  • 1970 - Sara Miller McCune, just 28yrs old,
    publishes SAGEs first methods book Public
    Policy Evaluation
  • 1977 - Quantitative Applications in the Social
    Sciences series (the little green books) are
    launched
  • 1980s SAGE invests heavily in qualitative
    methods at a time when the field was regarded as
    outside of the mainstream.
