  • He studied at the Royal Academy Schools.
  • One of the three principal members of the
    Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood formed in 1848.
  • He was made President of the Royal Academy in
    1896 but died the same year.

    by seven artists.
  • Their goal was to develop a naturalistic style of
    art, throwing away rules and conventions.
