4Fulbright Teacher Exchange Program
- General Eligibility Requirements
- U.S. citizenship
- A current full-time teaching or administrative
position - Bachelors degree or higher
- Three years of full-time teaching experience
- Fluency in English
5International Research and Exchanges Board (IREX)
- IREX is a private, nonprofit organization
dedicated to promoting advanced field research
and professional training programs between the
United States and the countries of Central and
Eastern Europe, Russia, Ukraine, Central Asia,
the Caucasus, Eurasia, China, and comparable
contiguous societies.

- CIEE Council on International Educational
Exchangeprovides 1-2 week intensive overseas

- Fulbright-Hays Seminars Abroad Program
Instructors/Administrators in the Humanities,
World Languages and Social Sciences with 3 years
full-time experience in the District can apply
for a funded 4-6 week professional development

7Fulbright Senior Specialist Program
- Designed to provide short-term academic
opportunities (2 to 6 weeks) for U.S. faculty and
professionals. - Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and
peer review of applications is conducted 8 times
per year.
8Fulbright Scholar-in-Residence Program
- Under the Scholar-in-Residence (SIR) Program,
interested institutions or consortia submit
proposals to invite scholars to teach one or more
courses and to be in residence for a semester or
an academic year.
9English Language Fellow Programa Department of
State program administered by Georgetown
University
- MA in TEFL/TESOL or related field with
substantial post MA teacher/curriculum
development experience. - Senior Fellows apply before March 31 for the
following academic year. - Serve as teacher trainers, curriculum and program
developers, evaluations and needs analyses. - Full living allowance, airfare and 35K stipend
