AUTOMATION - CAPA includes over 7250 undergraduate and
graduate courses - CAPA used by over 1350 faculty, staff and
administrators university-wide - CAPA uses the World Wide Web (WWW)

- ALL CAPA users need to be authorized by the
Department Head, Director or Dean - Training is provided on request by the Office of
Curriculum Systems - Training includes Course Proposals and On-line
Voting Process - A Training Manual is Available for all CAPA Users

- Is the CAPA system hard to use?
- No, the CAPA system has been designed to be user
friendly, it allows one to cut and paste using
word documents, which allows for the employment
of spell check and other tools.

- How do I get help if I am not sure how to do
something? - You may call the Deans Office at (2-6446) and
ask to speak to Krista Vanderpool, the COE CAPA

- What do I do if I am still having problems?
- Please call the Deans Office and speak to Krista
Vanderpool, who will be more than happy to help
you. If you prefer to have Formal Training then
Curriculum Systems will be able to arrange it.

15CAPA SYSTEM FAQ
- How long will it take to initiate a course from
start to finish? - Generally speaking, once a course is passed from
the COE Curriculum System, it takes 2 semesters
to work through the rest of the system. It will
be available to teach the semester following
final approval.
