- A verb states something about subject of the
sentence and express actions, events, state of
being. - Action verbs describes an act or activity.
- Ex. Play, run, drop
- The actions may be physical or mental.

4About Action Verbs
- Action verbs can be actions that you cant see.
- Ex. She thought about her puppy.
- Action verbs are time telling verbs.
- Ex. My dog runs faster than yours. (present)
- Yesterday, he ran around the block. (past)
- Tomorrow, he will run in a race. (future)
- Action verbs can be alone in a sentence as a main
verb. - Ex. My kitten fell into the pond.
