Opening a Presentation
  • Double click on the icon on the desktop of the
    Presenters laptop

  • When you create a presentation using PowerPoint,
    the presentation is made up of a series of
    slides.
  • In addition to slides, you can print audience
    handouts, outlines, and speaker's notes.

Starting a Slide Show
  • Click Slide Show at the lower left of the
    PowerPoint window
  • Shift F5 starts the slide show from the current
    slide
  • F5 starts the slide show from the beginning

  • On the Slide Show menu, select
  • View Show
  • On the View menu, select Slide Show

Navigating While In Your Slide Show
  • Forward Navigation
  • Simply click on the left Mouse Button, the down
    arrow, the space bar or hit the Enter Button on
    your keyboard
  • Reverse Navigation
  • Hit the Backspace, the up arrow or PageUp on the
    keyboard
  • Exiting the show
  • Hit the Esc Button on the keyboard

Customizing Your Show
  • You may want to use only certain slides in the
    prepared presentations.
  • Under the Slide Show menu, select Custom Show
  • Select New
  • This window displays
  • Name your custom presentation
  • Select the slides you want
  • On the left, click Add
  • When done, click OK
  • Click Close

  • You can also mix slides from several
    presentations together into one show
  • Under the File Menu, Select New
  • Select Blank Presentation
  • Under the Insert Menu
  • Select Slides from Files

  • Select the correct printer from the drop down
    list
  • Select the Print Range
  • Select the number of

  • Allows to you to print a special copy for the

  • displays any notes
  • entered on each slide

Closing Power Point
  • Pressing the Escape key will take you out of
    slide show view
  • Clicking the X in the upper right hand corner
    closes the presentation
