Fire Making
Stone Age people used fire to keep warm, cook
food, and for protection from predators. Before
they learned to make fire they had to get it from
lightning strikes or volcanoes. They may have
stolen it from other bands.

Tool Making

• This type of tool making was invented by the Cro
  Magnons and was called flaking. Another name for
  it is Rock Punch Flaking. The Cro-Magnons made
  many tools with this method, some of the tools
  they made were knives, hide scrapers, spear tips,
  drills, awls and burins. For the hammer, they
  used stones. They used several types of rock to
  place under the chisel to make into flakes. Some
  of these rocks were flint, chert and obsidian.
  The Cro-Magnons made many tools for hunting,
  building and cooking.
