Objectives for Week 17

• After studying this weeks work, you will be able
  to
• Use MS Word to customise posters.
• You will also have explored creating tri-fold
  leaflets using MS Word, MS Publisher or a
  software program with which you are familiar.

MS Office Templates

• Click on to the following link
• http//office.microsoft.com/en-us/templates/defaul
  t.aspx
• This will take you to MS Office Templates.
• Type Spring in the search bar and then download
  the template opposite. (On web page if you cannot
  download)

• SpringEventPoster
• When you have opened the file, save it to your
  own space.
• Now make amendments to the text to suit your own
  project

Edit picture in Fireworks

• Open Macromedia Fireworks
• And create a new document.
• Find a picture of a tulip in Clip Art and
  download it. Click open.

• Click into Fireworks and right click and Import.
  You should see your down-loaded image. Double
  Click the image. If it is not visible then you
  need to find it in your folders.

Fireworks Select 2-Up, Index Transparency.
File, Export, save to your folder.
For the transparency to work you need a .gif or
.png

Export from Fireworks

• You must choose File, Export (not save) in order
  to save your image to a folder.

Spring Poster

• Go back to your Spring Poster, click on one of
  the original images and delete.
• Then Insert, Picture, From File.
• Go and find your saved image and double click to
  inset it in the poster.
• You can use the same image, reduced in size in
  Fireworks, in another part of the poster.
  Transparency allows you to see text through the
  picture.

• Create a tri-fold leaflet using MS Word, MS
  Publisher or a software program that you are
  already familiar with.
• Basic Tri-fold word document
