When to Use Activity Diagrams

• Good for parallel behavior
• Not good for the links among actions and objects
• Use activity diagrams for the following
  situations
• analyzing a use case
• understanding workflow across many use cases
• dealing with multi-threaded applications

• Dont use activity diagrams in the following
  situations
• trying to see how objects collaborate
• use interaction diagrams instead
• trying to see how an object behaves over its
  lifetime
• use state diagrams instead
