TBRPF Overview
  • TBRPF is a proactive routing protocol (like OLSR
    and Star).
  • TBRPF is a full topology link state protocol
    where each node is provided with state of each
    link in the network.
  • Each link state update is broad cast reliably
    along a dynamic min-hop-path tree rooted at
    source u of the update.
  • Each node I maintains a topology table contains
    link state updates, neighbor nodes.

TBRPF Operation
  • A link state update is accpeted at node i if
    received from parent node .
  • If node i accepts a link state update or
    discovers a new neighbor or a state change for an
    existing link to a neighbor, node I
  • Enters update to its topology table.
  • Forwards update to all neighbors in the children.
  • Computes new parents for all sources by running
    Dijkstra.

TBRPF Advantages
  • Alternate paths and disjoint paths are
    immediately available allowing faster recovery
    from failures and topology changes.
