Target Population
  • Methamphetamine involved clients participating
    Drug Courts
  • Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT)
    definition of methamphetamine client

Target Population
  • Clients not coming from a restricted setting
  • A meth client is a client who has used meth in
    the last 90 days (prior to intake) AND who will
    be receiving services through ATR specifically
    related to meth use.
  • Clients coming from a restricted setting
  • A meth client is a client who has used meth in
    the 90 days prior to entry into the restricted
    setting AND who will be receiving services
    through ATR specifically related to meth use.

How Does ATR Work
  • Drug Court staff screen potential ATR clients and
    refer all eligible clients for assessment
  • Provider conducts an approved assessment
  • Drug Court staff reviews clinical assessment and
    assists client with treatment choices/options
  • Services delivered by licensed treatment programs
    and community/faith based recovery support
    providers
  • Providers are paid through a voucher for each
    individual client

Treatment Service Provider
  • Provides necessary clinical treatment on Referral
    from the Drug Court Staff and communicates with
    Drug Court staff about client progress.
  • Implements Treatment regimen based on screening
    and assessment.

Billing
  • Treatment providers bill against the voucher in
    the automated voucher tracking system.
  • Payment is done by the local drug court.

Next Steps
  • Comple our Voucher Management System (VMS) to
    implement ATR project.
  • State Partners will work with the County Drug
    Courts to establish provider eligibility.
  • State Partners will offer additional information
    sessions as needed for other providers.
