Six Strategies

• Strategy One
• The Victoria Government will aggregate its
  broadband demand to increase Government
  purchasing power and increase community access to
  broadband infrastructure.
• TPAMS
• Lowered Telecommunications Costs to Govt by 200M
  over 5 years
• gt 100M of infrastructure over 3 years.
• Pricing also available to local councils and Govt
  authorities
• SmartOne
• Lower prices through TPAMS made fibre to schools
  affordable
• Govt provided an additional 89M to deliver 4Mb
  fibre to all schools
• Funding is for data service, supplier is
  responsible for infrastructure provision under
  TPAMS.
• 700 exchange upgrades required, 600 in regional
  Victoria.
• Upgrade of more than 50 of Telstras existing
  network in Victoria

• The Victoria Government will improve the delivery
  of government services through leading broadband
  use.
• TPAMS delivers pricing to Govt Departments and
  agencies to allow uplift of data capacity and
  increased use of broadband applications.
• SmartOne to enable increased use of e-learning
  applications
• 15M Broadband Innovation Fund to promote
  advanced broadband applications
• Hume Health Region Digital Radiography Project
• Breast Screen Victoria Mobile Digital Breast
  Screening
• Regional Health Alliance high capacity broadband
  networks (GRAHNet, HumeNet, SWARHNet, Loddon
  Mallee and Hume Health Alliances
• TPAMS provides the potential to further grow
  these networks

  public infrastructure assets and use its role in
  planning to support strategic broadband
  projects.

• The Victoria Government will assist industry and
  communities to develop innovative market
  solutions.
• 5M Customer Access Network Demonstration
  Programs Castlemaine, Shepparton, Wodonga,
  Gippsland, Pyrenees
• Aurora FTTH project
• Supporting demand aggregation projects
