Made an offer to the owner of the church and negotiated the price down to about a 1.25 millions.
The bank sued the owner of the church over legal issues.
We contacted the bank and tried to work a short sale but it was not possible as the bank had already commenced foreclosure proceedings.
The process was delayed as the owner of the church filed for bankruptcy.
The lawsuit is back on track after lifting the bankruptcy motion.
Our last correspondence with the bank was as of a couple of weeks ago. The lawsuit is progressing but slowly.
Our pending offer to the bank is 700,000 subject to negotiation upon acquiring the property.
Note Given the nature of the building, it is highly likely that we will find ourselves in a bidding war against other entities.
