Improving Vocabulary

• To get credit for your Book-Talks, you need to
  keep a record of 15 vocabulary words that you do
  not recognize as you read one of your books.

• As you read the book
• Step 1 Jot down a word that you dont recognize
  in the book or on a piece of paper but dont look
  the word up in a dictionary.

• Step 2 If you discover the same word again in
  the text, look the word up in a dictionary and
  record the entry in a word file according to the
  following format

• BOOK-TALK VOCABULARY FORMAT
• Step 3 Entry number, followed by the word,
  followed by 3 synonyms, and finally followed by
  the exact sentence that you read in your book.
• Example 1 Nemesis Noun vengeance,
  retribution, fate copy the sentence from the
  book
