Overview

• This presentation summarises how international
  research findings on Networking for Learning
  are being used in New Zealand to develop an
  education sector led initiative focused on
• enhancing collaboration within and between
  schools
• effective leadership learning

Background .

• Deepening understanding of international research
  findings on change, the impact of learning
  networks, the way successful networks develop and
  the influences that affect change and improvement
  efforts
• Questioning of support (coaching and content)
  given to schools on how to lead, develop and
  implement in-school and between-school
  initiatives focused on improving student
  achievement
• Opportunity to introduce NfL, an internationally
  developed simulation, in New Zealand

• Establishment of Cognition Education Research
  Trust subsidiary of Multiserve Education Trust
  (MSET)
• MSET Sponsorship of New Zealand Principals
  Federation (NZPF)
• NZPF and MSET agreement to use sponsorship
  resource to strengthen school leadership and
  networking

  principals and curriculum leaders, network and
  cluster leaders, community leaders and leaders in
  the education consultant market
