Sense of Taste

• Our TONGUE helps us taste things.
• Some of the things we taste are

• Sour
• Bitter
• Salty

  poisonous!

Sense of Smell

• Our NOSE helps us smell things.
• We like to smell some things, but some things
  smell AWFUL!!
• Certain smells warn of us danger.
• Medicine smells
• Cleaning smells
• Poisonous smells but some poisonous things are
  odorless!

• DO NOT taste things because they smell good.
  They can be harmful to you!!

Sense of Hearing

• We hear with our EARS.
• Hearing helps warn us of things.
• We hear many different sounds every day.
• People who have trouble hearing may wear hearing
  aids.
• People who cannot hear can communicate by
• Sign language
• Reading lips

• Our FINGERS are used for touching things.
• We feel many different textures
• Rough
• Smooth
• Soft
• Bum
• Hard
• Wet
• Dry

Sense of Sight

• We use our EYES to see.
• Sight helps us in everything we do.
• Blind people need other help
• Seeing eye dogs
• Canes
• Other people to be their eyes

• Blind people usually have other senses that are
  stronger.
• They can read by using Braille.
• Braille is read by reading raised dots.

• Our five senses help us to experience the world
  around us!
