Title: Secure Trafficlight Emergency Management System STEMS

1
Secure Traffic-light Emergency Management System
(STEMS)
  • Team GT Ambulance Chasers
  • Dan Boland
  • Brandon Harrington
  • Brian Liu
  • Kevin Wright

2
Overview
  • Review of Our Concept
  • Progress Update
  • Parts Status and Orders Update
  • Preliminary Results
  • Outstanding Issues

3
Our Concept
  • STEMS is an emergency traffic light bypass
    solution
  • STEMS reduces response time of emergency response
crews, and increases overall safety on the roads
  • STEMS is a low cost and highly scalable solution

4
Progress Update
  • (insert Gantt ChartBrandon, you could either
alter the Gantt chart we have now, or just paste
our original here and we could just point out
where we started, where we are, where we should
    beetc.)

5
Parts Status and Order Update
  • What we have received
  • What we have ordered and are waiting on
  • What we still need to order

6
Preliminary Results
  • Encryption scheme results?
  • Ebox configuration successful?
  • Half of the traffic light units for
    demonstration/simulation are soldered and working
    properly

7
Outstanding Issues
  • Unexpected problem that needs resolution
interfacing output of digital compass to eBox
    input
  • Need to receive parts so can begin prototyping
and testing (i.e. digital compass, I2C to RS 232
    adapter, etc.)
  • Solidify demonstration concepts (i.e. use laptop
    to control/simulate 5 TLUs)

8
In Summary
  • Due to lack of parts, we have been unable to work
on several major components of our design
  • Nevertheless we have made significant progress in
    other sectors of our design
  • Necessary reprioritizations and deviations from
original Gantt chart should allow adequate time
for successful completion of our project
