How will I know if my child passes?
  • 25th percentile or above
  • Achievement Levels
  • Advanced A student at this level has
    demonstrated superior performance beyond the
    level of mastery.
  • Mastery A student at this level has demonstrated
    competency over challenging subject matter and is
    well prepared for the next level of schooling.
  • Basic A student at this level has demonstrated
    the fundamental knowledge and skills needed for
    the next level of schooling.
  • Approaching Basic A student at this level has
    only partially demonstrated the fundamental
    knowledge and skills needed for the next level of
    schooling.
  • Unsatisfactory A student at this level has not
    demonstrated the fundamental knowledge and skills
    needed for the next level of schooling.

What are the pupil progression standards?
  • 3rd Grade
  •         Attend a minimum of 160 days of school
  •         Pass at least 3 of the 4 units
  • o       Reading (2 units)
  • o       Math (1 unit)
  • o       Language (1 unit)
  •  
  •         For Reading and Math, the student must
    pass report card grades, and score at or above
    the 25th percentile (NP)on the iLEAP.
  •         If a student fails one of these he/she
    will be given the districts placement test. A
    score of 80 or more is passing.
  • For Language, the student must pass report card
    grades.

  • o       Reading (1 unit)
  • o       Math (1 unit)
  • o       Language and Spelling (1 unit)
  • o       Social Studies (1 unit)
  • o       Science (1 unit)
  • o       Spanish (1/2 unit)
  • o       P. E. (1/2 unit)
  •  
  •  For Reading and Math, the student must pass
    report card grades, and score at or above the
    25th percentile (NP) on the iLEAP.
