How can you help your child study OTHER than
using the book?!?!?!?
  • TALK to them about what they are learning.
  • Have your child teach you.
  • Interactive Notebooks and Binders

Talk with your child
  • Ask them what they reviewed today.
  • Ask them what NEW material they discussed today.
  • Ask them about concepts that still confuse them.
    Clarify if you feel comfortableAsk US, using the
    agenda, if you do not.

Have your child teach you
  • Becoming the teacher allows your child to review
    and study in a FUN way.
  • Make sure that the material they are teaching you
    is RIGHT! Have the book out and double check the
    facts they tell you!
  • Have them PROVE their explanation.

Interactive Notebooks and Binders
  • Notes given using the Interactive Notebook and
    Binder are OFTEN NOT in the textbook.
  • Make sure the child is reviewing the information
    in these NIGHTLY.
  • Make CONNECTIONS with your child about classroom
    discussions they have participated in and the
    material you are reviewing with them.
