QAR- Right There

• A Right There answer is in the text.
• Its usually easy to find.
• The words used to make up the question and answer
  the question are in the
  same sentence.

QAR- Think and Search

• The Think and Search answer is in the story, but
  you need to put different story parts together to
  find it.
  
• Words for the question and words for the answer
  are not found in the same sentence.
  
• The answers are found in different sentences or
  paragraphs.

• The Author and You answer is not only in the
  story.
  
• You need to think about what you already know,
  what the author tells you in the text, and how
  the information from both places fits together.

• The On My Own answer will not be in the story.
• You can even answer the question without reading
  the story.
  
• This answer comes from your own experience and
  background.
