The Event

• Boston - March 5, 1770,
• A gang of rebellious colonists had been
  tormenting British troops who had been sent to
  enforce the Townshend Acts. The colonists pelted
  the troops with rocks, snowballs, and even chunks
  of ice. The troops finally snapped and fired
  shots into the rioting colonists. When the riot
  had finally ended 3 colonists were deadtwo more
  would die later from wounds.
