Your giving has given this child an opportunity
that has helped his health, given him a route to
have a relationship with his mother, made him
feel really good about himself and earned the
gratitude of this whole family! Thank you for
what you do!

Two brothers, aged 6 and 8 live with their
single, mentally challenged mother. The
8-year-old has been diagnosed with ADHD. During
two weeks of YMCA camp sponsored by ISH they
learned to swim and interact with other kids in a
great program.

A Henrico DSS adult client was living in an
abusive home situation. Our agency needed to
remove him from his situation rather abruptly and
place him in a local assisted living facility on
an emergency basis. We anticipated a 5 to 7 night
stay while we looked for a Medicaid bed for him.
The search took two weeks and our local Adult
Protective Services funds would have been
depleted for the month if we had not been able to
request financial assistance from the ISH fund. I
am so grateful to have that resource available to
us when assisting our clients. Thank you!

ISH has been a big support to our children in
foster care. Whether it is a childs birthday or
meeting a childs need when there is no other way
to do so, ISH is there to help. ISH has helped
celebrate children on their birthdays. When two
of my childrens clothing allowance ran out and
the childrens clothing was lost in a move, ISH
provided the funds so the children were able to
get the clothes they needed.
