Registering a Domain

Pre-reqs

• Access to the internet via computer.
• A web site (either pre-existing or in
  production).
• A credit card.
• E-mail address.
• An idea of what your domain name should be.

Searching a Domain Name Registry

• Open your web browser(Internet Explorer, Safari,
  Mozilla Firefox)
• Go to your web URL address at the top of your Web
  Browser, enter in google.com, press enter.
• Go to the Search engine space at the center of
  google, enter in domain name registry, browse
  around for the most appropriate one, however, for
  this tutorial we recommend GoDaddy.com, so
  enter that into your URL address space.

Once youre at GoDaddy.com

• Go to the site search engine for domain names,
  which is at the middle left of the page.
• Enter the desired name for your address, then
  select the desired domain you would like too end
  your address, which is right next to the serch
  engine.
• Click on the GO! button in order to continue.
• If name taken please try another, if not continue
  to next slide of this tutorial.

Life After GO!

• Once you have your domain name chosen and
  verified that its available, then the next page
  will prompt you for a payment plan based upon the
  domains you desire to register for your domain
  name.
• Pick the options that best suit you, then scroll
  down to the Continue button and click it.

Another page to sell domains

• You will be prompted yet again with domains to
  register your domain name with.
• Click on Yes! Add these to my order (center of
  page) if you do want them, if not then click
  continue to checkout(underneath the other
  option)

Making an Account

• If you have an account with godaddy.com, then
  login, if not then enter in the information
  required into the fields given.
• Click on Continue when finished.
• Click on Continue for the next page as well,
  ignore this page.

Editing Your Final Order

• Customize your plan accordingly within steps 1
  and 2 on this page, then at step 3 click on
  No thanks. Im ready to check out.
• Click on Continue

Reviewing Final Order

• Make sure what you are purchasing is really what
  you want in step 1 of this page.
• Choose correct Payment method for step 2 of
  this page.
• For step 3, click on Domain Registration
  Agreement
• Read terms. Exit the pop-up.
• Click on Universal Terms of Service
• Read Terms. Exit this pop-up as well.
• Click on Checkout Now

Securing Checkout

• Copy down Login ID given in the field below
  where it says Login ID.
• Enter in Password (between 5-25 characters) for
  your account within given fields at the center of
  the page.
• Confirm Password underneath that.
• Create your own password hint underneath that.
• Click on Continue with Checkout button.

Giving Up Your Money

• Enter in Correct Billing information
• Click on Checkout Now button.
