    establish boundaries
  • Groups have tasks that members share along with
    group outcomes that members seek to achieve
  • Groups operate within a wider context and have
    relationships with that context that influence
    what occurs in the group

  • 1. Does the groups output meet the standards of
    those who use that output?
  • 2. Do group experiences enhance members
    abilities work together in future?
  • 3. Do group experiences contribute to members
    growth and personal well-being?
  • 4. What weight should each criterion have?

    accomplish its task? (Effort problem)
