Focus of ECCFs

• Develop skilled practitioners through a

• Identifying highly motivated new RNs/RMs
• Locating in specific clinical areas
• Exposing the fellows to clinical, academic and
  personal development opportunities
• Evaluating the impact on the service and fellows
• To support succession planning for the future
  skilled
• workforce of NHS Scotland and the UK

ECCFs

• Target Group
• Two cohorts 50 fellowships/year for 2 years
• Small number for midwives
• Honours/Unclassified graduates
• 2007/08 Group
• 50 cohort newly registered by October 2007
• 50 cohort completed Flying Start NHS Oct 2007

What ECCFs consists?

• Completion of Flying Start NHS
• Masters programme by P/T mode
• on the job learning sets throughout the
  fellowship
