What Are Your Senses?

• Close your eyes and think of a place that you
  enjoy?
• Can you imagine things there you like to see,
  hear, touch, taste, and smell?
• These are your five senses, how your brain links
  itself to the world around you.

What do you see?

• We use our eyes to see.
• We see our friends and family.
• We see nature all around us.
• We see the difference between a big and small
  dog.

What do you hear?

• We hear with our ears.
• We hear the whistle during lunch time recess.
• We hear the sound of crunching snow under our
  feet.
• We hear the bell when school is dismissed.

What do you feel?

• We feel with our hands and body.
• We feel the soft fur of a cat.
• We feel the rough sidewalk.
• We feel the prickly cactus.

• We taste with our Mouth.
• We taste sweet candy bars.
• We taste spicy salsa.
• We taste sour apple suckers.

• We smell with our nose.
• We smell a stinky skunk.
• We smell a sweet bouquet of flowers.
• We smell yummy pizza.
