Abstract
  • The purpose of the experiment is to see how
hamsters react to different environments. If
hamsters are placed on a cold environment, then
they will eat more food. The experiment consists
of buying two (2) hamsters (male) and two cages.
We will put one hamster and its cage next to a
vaporizer (device that elevates humidity and
temperature of an area). The other hamster will
be put on top of some containers with ice. We
will observe, write results and draw conclusions.
The experiment will be conducted as research and
field-test. The data will be recorded daily
between 4 and 7pm, until the pack of food is over.

3
Background
  • Research states that in very cold temperatures,
the hamsters will hibernate. If this happens, it
will be a big variable in our experiment. That
will make us not lower the temperature as much.
  • In the human body, hot temperatures would
increase the body temperature, producing more
sweat. That causes us to drink and eat more, to
maintain ourselves healthy, perhaps, that also
happens to hamsters, and thats one thing we are
    going to test.
