- Fuqing NPP Phase I is a Standardized 3-loop
1000MWe Pressurized Water Reactor, which designed
and constructed by China Nuclear Power
Engineering CO. Ltd. (CNPE). - It is the first EPC project of CNPE.
- The First Concrete Date (FCD) of Unit 1 is on 18
October, 2008.

much advantage compared to the paper version. The
operator is still in charge of reading and
understanding the procedures on the computer and
of collecting the necessary plant information. - On-line computerized procedure can markedly
improve the use of the operating procedures. The
detailed procedure displays could indicated the
currently status of the procedure step and the
related necessary information of plant states, it
can reduce the work load of operator and the
operating risk in NPP.

- The digital operating procedure should adapt with
the Human system interface - It is provided for operators that control
consoles, control panels, switches, pushbuttons,
indicators, registers and alarm windows in main
control room in the traditional NPP. - The operator can operate the actuator and
detect the information at the fixed place
directly, but as the limit of space in MCR, most
of the information and alarms are grouped, it is
not use for the operator to confirm the
integrated information of plant states at once. - On the other hand, as the operator should
go around in front of the consoles and panels
during operation, it is also not so convenience
for the operation.

the Human system interface - Within Fuqing NPP, the majority of plant
systems will be controlled and monitored on
computerized work station (visual display units
VDUs). - The operator could implement most of the
operation in one work station , and also the
operator could use a number of these human system
interface (HSI) systems, including Back up panel
(BUP), Emergency control panel (ECP), Large
display panel (LDP), etc. -
