Affirming the Covenant Ex 24

• 3-4 Moses recites the Law the people agree to
  the Law Moses writes the Law.
• 5-8 The people offer sacrifices and Moses
  sprinkles them with the blood of the covenant.
• 9-18 Israelites witness Moses entering into
  Gods glorious presence.
• Aaron, Nadab, Abihu, and 70 elders come near the
  Mt.
• They see God standing on clear sapphire.
• Moses and Joshua go up to the Mt for Moses to
  receive the Law written in stone.
• Moses enters a cloud on the mountain.
• The people see Gods glory like fire on the
  mountain.
• Moses stays 40 days and nights on the mountain.

The Golden Calf and Gods Anger Ex 32

• 1-6 Aaron makes an idol for the people.
• They ask for it because Moses delays.
• Aaron makes a golden calf.
• They give it credit for Gods work worship it.
• They eat, drink, and play.
• 7-10 The Lord reacts in anger.
• He tells Moses to leave him alone that he will
  destroy the people and that he will build a new
  nation from Moses.
• 11 Moses intercedes for the people.
• He appeals to the Lords name.
• The Lord changes his mind.

Golden Calf and Moses Anger Ex 32

• 15-19 Moses shatters the tablets of the Law
• He and Joshua come down and hear the noise.
• Moses recognizes it as a suspicious celebration.
• When he sees the calf and dancing, he shatters
  the tablets of the Law.
• Moses reacts angrily. 20-28
• He burns the calf, grinds it, and puts it in
  water, which he makes the people drink.
• When Aaron claims The people asked, and out it
  came, Moses angrily calls for those on the
  Lords side.
• Levites respond, and he has them execute 3000.
• Moses begs God to forgive the people. 29-35
• He says he will lead them on.
• He also punishes them.

The Tabernacle Is Completed Ex 40

• 1-33 Moses sets up the tabernacle.
• 2, 17 It is one year since leaving Egypt.
• He sets up all the proper elements.
• 9 He consecrates it with anointing oil.
• He consecrates the priests from Aarons family.
• 34-38 The glory of the Lord fills the
  tabernacle.
• As long as they see the pillar of fire/cloud
  there, they remain camped where they are.
• When the pillar moves, they move.
