• The St. Pauls Choir School offers children,
• grades 3-12, individual instruction in music
  theory and vocal training. The children do not
  need to be members of St. Pauls or the Episcopal
  Church. Beginning trebles learn to read music and
  acquire basic vocal technique for singing.

• At the St. Pauls Choir School, the term school
  is not used to refer to a building. Rather, it is
  a philosophy.

A school is a place to learn. At St. Pauls
Choir School we all learn
Through regular rehearsals and services, we learn
to sing to the best of our ability. Through music
and worship, we learn about liturgy and the
Episcopal Church.

Choral Scholars
As part of the Choir School, we are offering the
Choral Scholar Program for children in grades
3-8. The program underwrites private music
lessons, on the instrument of the students
choice, for worthy young singers who exhibit
leadership within and commitment to the choir
program.

Practices are on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The
children also participate weekly in an
intergenerational choir on Sundays.

They have additional opportunities to sing
Choral Evensong, concerts with orchestra, and in
tours within the United States and Great Britain.

2004-2005 School Year

• We had eight beginners that finished the training
  period to become members of the choir. Five
  beginners were from outside the parish.

I believe that it is an outstanding use of time,
building skills in musical, academic, and social
areas. The quality of instruction is of a high
order and the high expectations and discipline

The window of opportunity for musicians is
really a relatively small one and it is crucial
for proper foundations to be laid at an age when

I think this is a great use of my time because
of everyones talent and it is so fun, also the
atmosphere is great its like a big family.

He has made more technical progress on the
instrument than I would have imagined. Because of
his reasonable proficiency technically, and
because of his continual curiosity about music
and overall intelligence, he is one of the few
students I feel comfortable working on things
outside of just playing the instrument, like
