3How Wireless Is Deployed
Controller
Access Point
Access Points are distributed to provide coverage
throughout the structure
4Survey and Floor Plans
We use tools to help us choose where the Access
Points should go. In some cases, we find that we
can serve an area from an adjacent area.
5Survey and Floor Plans, contd
In the end, we identify where we have existing
wires to reach the Access Points, and where we
would like new drops.
6Basement AP Plan
71st Floor, Capitol
82nd Floor, Capitol
93rd Floor, Capitol
104th Floor, Capitol
115th Floor, Capitol
12Vestibules
Three of four vestibules have data drops already.
Ideal placement of Access Points is on the tops.
Otherwise, at floor level.
13Floor Common Areas
We would like to place Access Points in the
corners by the restrooms where there are already
fire protection devices and cameras.
14House Chamber
Most of the Access Points are located under the
floor. One at the back of the chamber, between
the level of the camera and mid-thigh, will help
serve the gallery.
15Old Appropriations
An Access Point at the front of the room, near
the microphone jacks would serve the area.
16Other Areas
- Senate Chamber
- Old Judiciary
- Offices
- Basement
