Issues Confronting CEFACT

• Lack of CCMA

CCMA

• Project has been in progress for over three years
  now
• Current document is contains too much and does
  not satisfy business needs
• User Guide does satisfy business needs, but is
  not accepted by ICG or ATG as an approved
  specification

BIMs

• Draft paper written by Michael Dill
• Provides a way to create overall business
  information concepts
• Can be restricted down to business messages
• Idea arose due to lack of CCMA standard
• Lack of CCMA is forcing TBG to come up with its
  own solutions

UCM

• There do not appear to currently be any plans to
  develop UCM for CCTS 2.01
• There is a context section within CCTS 2.01
• They may consider that to be all CCTS 2.01 needs
  it is unclear from the project documentation
• All UCM development appears to be for CCTS 3.0

Coordination with PGs

• Other PGs do not seem to be responding to TBG
  needs
• Two underlying issues
• Lack of resources
• Misaligned priorities
