of ammunition and explosives for personnel
directly involved in hands-on exposure to

35NON STANDARD AMMUNITION
- AE that is not procured thru normal
supply channels is not authorized to be expended
on Fort Gordon. - If AE doesnt have a Federal Stock Number
and wasnt obtained thru the ASP, it may be in
violation of Federal, State, Local laws and
DOD/DA Regulations. - Do not store, transport or use any
nonstandard ammunition and explosives on Fort
Gordon. Contact the QASAS at Ft Jackson if you
have any questions or concerns about using
nonstandard AE. -
- The Fort Gordon ASP does not accept nonstandard
ammunition in residue turn-ins or unexpended AE. -
36AMNESTY PROGRAM
See Ch 11-19 of DAP 710-2-1 for complete amnesty
procedures. The Fort Gordon ASP amnesty program
is to recover MILITARY AE that gets outside of
supply channels. Fort Gordon ASP has an amnesty
box for .50 caliber and below small arms. (24/7,
no questions asked -- no paper work
required). AE above .50 caliber must be
reported to the FT Military Police. Untrained
personnel will not move AE from location where
the AE was discovered. Civilian ammunition
explosives found on post must be referred to the
Military Police. The ASP doesnt accept civilian
ammunition.
37STORAGE OF CLASS V OUTSIDE THE ASP
- DACS-SF MEMO DTD 18 AUG 2004
- Active units on Fort Gordon may, when
required, store limited quantities (i.e., the
amount required for immediate training needs) of
HD 1.4S munitions inside an approved arms room
for a period not to exceed 30 days. - Post Safety office is the POC for all Arms
Room matters/questions. -
