En sammenligning af den målte ammoniakemission
over til de nuværende normtal er ikke entydig,
idet produktionen af kuldioxid ikke er præcis
relateret til slagtesvinenes tilvækst. Ifølge
normtal 3 udskiller et slagtesvin 3,17 kg N,
hvoraf 14 pct. fordamper som ammoniak i
slagtesvinestalde med drænet gulv, dvs. 0,44 kg
NH3-N pr. slagtesvin. Hvis det antages at et
slagtesvin afgiver kuldioxid som anvendt i
Staldvent-programmet 2, så vil en
ammoniakfordampning på 14 pct. i
slagtesvinestalde svare til et forhold på 0,0105
mellem ammoniak- og kuldioxidkoncentration i ppm,
hvor ammoniak- og kuldioxidkoncentration er
korrigeret for koncentrationen i udeuft. Denne
omregning er anvendt i meddelelsen.
