2Sherbet SmoothiesRecipe By Strained Peas!
- 2 pints lemon sherbet, softened
- 1 ½ c. cold milk
- 2 c. frozen peaches or raspberries
- In blender or food processor, combine all
ingredients. - Blend until smooth. Serve immediately in chilled
glasses.
3Tropical Smoothie
- 1 ripe mango peeled, pitted and diced
- 1 medium ripe papaya peeled and diced
- 1 kiwi fruit peeled and diced
- 1 banana peeled and diced
- 1 cup low fat plain or vanilla yogurt
- Combine fruits in blender. Add yogurt and blend
till thick. - May add powdered cloves before serving for a more
exotic flavor. - Can make smoothie thinner by using one half cup
low fat milk and a half cup yogurt. - Can use other fruits in various proportions, just
adjust quantity of liquid. - Can also smoothen mix with addition of crushed
ice.
4Fruit Smoothie
- 2 cups crushed ice
- 1 ½ cups fresh fruit
- 1 cup non-fat vanilla yogurt
- 1 teaspoon powdered milk
- Put all ingredients in a blender and blend
together until smooth. - Serve.
5Peanut Butter Chocolate Twist ShakeRecipe By

- 1 ounce chocolate chips
- 1 ounce peanut butter
- 4 ounces coconut juice or milk
- 6 ounces vanilla ice cream
- 2 curls shaved chocolate
- ½ ounce crushed roasted peanuts
- Whip all ingredients together in blender until
smooth. - Garnish with shaved chocolate and crushed roasted
peanuts.

- 1 banana
- 1 cup milk
- 3 to 4 scoops vanilla ice cream
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- Puree banana in blender add in remaining
ingredients - Process until just mixed.
7Low-Fat Maple Blue
- 1 c. low-fat blueberry yogurt
- ¾ c. low-fat milk
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 c. fresh blueberries, frozen
- Combine yogurt, milk, syrup and cinnamon in a
blender. - Add the blueberries and puree until smooth. Makes
2 servings
8Bananas Smoothie
- Heres a basic smoothie recipe which you can
flavor with 2-3 handfuls of any chosen fruit. - 1 banana
- 2-3 large handfuls of your chosen fruit
- approx 1 pint glass of ice
- 285 ml / ½ pint single cream
- Place the banana and your chosen fruit into a
liquidizer and whiz for 30 seconds. - Add the ice and cream.
- Place the lid back on tightly and pulse the
liquidizer a couple of times on and off to break
up the larger pieces of ice, before whizzing up
to a semi-slushy milk shake consistency.
9Cranberry Raspberry Smoothie
- 1 cup vanilla soymilk
- ½ large banana
- 2 Tbsp frozen cranberry juice concentrate
(undiluted) - ¼ cup frozen raspberries
- Place all ingredients in blender and puree until
smooth. - Serve immediately or refrigerate. Serving size 1
½ cups
