Information on Ice cream

• About 2,000 years ago ice cream was first served.
  Ice Cream was made of snow, nectar, fruit, and
  honey. Ice Cream was served as a Roman treat.

• Ice cream remained as an exotic dessert mostly
  enjoyed by the rich.
• Around the 1800, there was the manufacturing of
  insulated ice houses.
• Ice cream production increased, because of
  technological advancements. Which included steam
  power, mechanical refrigeration, the homogenizer,
  electric power and motors, packing machines, and
  new freezing processes. and equipment.

• In World War II ice cream served as an edible
  symbol. Military branches competed against each
  other when serving ice cream to its troops.
• The first "floating ice cream parlor" was built
  for sailors in the western Pacific in 1945.
• America celebrated its victory with ice cream,
  and the dairy product rationing was lifted.
• In the 1940's through the 1970's, ice cream
  production was relatively constant in the United
  States.
• Now today you find specialty shops for ice
  cream, and isles are filled in super markets.
