12Who Is It For?
- Highly capable and motivated students who are
willing to make a commitment to additional
expectations - Expectation OneStudent will work at an
accelerated rate and aggressively seek ways to
challenge him/herself - Expectation TwoStudent achieves an 90 in class
at the end of the trimester
13Acceptance into Advanced Math
- All students are invited to take an additional
test over the 6th grade Grade Level Expectations
in May - Specific questions about scores, tests, dates,
etc. should be addressed to Peggy Merril at
837-6909. - Willingness to accept more responsibility
- Willingness to participate in a more rigorous
class
14Advanced Math Mission
- To challenge and prepare students for the
opportunity to take 8th or 9th grade (high school
credit) level math in 7th grade - If successful, some students may earn up to two
high school math credits while at Maywood
