Installment Payment Plan

• Automatic enrollment if student account is not
  paid in full by first day of classes
• 20 charge per semester
• Pay in 4 installments (3 in Summer)
• If first installment payment is late or missed,
  the students registration will be cancelled. If
  the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th installment payments are
  late or missed, the students registration will
  not be cancelled however, a 1.5 service charge
  fee will be added to the students balance.

Payment Methods

• Cash, Check, Discover, MasterCard Visa
• In person, by mail, night drop, or web.
• If paying by mail,
• Please allow sufficient time to meet payment due
  date. We suggest that you mail your payment at
  least 7 days in advance.
• Please write the students university ID on check
• If paying by web,
• Payment must be completed by 615pm on payment
  due date.
• A 2 fee will be added to the payment amount

Financial Responsibility

• Students are officially enrolled and financially
  responsible for the payment of tuition and fees
  upon registration.
• Students are not relieved of their financial
  responsibility unless they officially withdraw
  from classes within the published deadlines for
  refunding of tuition and fees.

Access to University Services

• Access to University services including classroom
  attendance, Blackboard, housing, meal plan,
  library, computer labs, fitness center and
  Student Job Finder are provided to students once
  they are financially cleared for the semester.
• Students are financially cleared once they have
  paid their charges in full or have paid their
  first installment payment.
• Financial aid reduces the students account
  balance and the amount of their installment
  payments.
• All charges from a previous semester must be paid
  in full to be financially cleared.

Financial Aid Recipient Billing

• Financial aid pays current semester charges
• Current semester charges remaining (unpaid) after
  financial aid pays is divided into four equal
  installments
• Unless financial aid covers the entire account
  balance, a payment will be required by the first
  installment due date to become financially cleared

Family Educational Rights Privacy ActFERPA

• Protects student educational records such as
  academic progress and financial data
• Students own their educational records and such
  data may not be disclosed without the students
  consent
• This includes parents!
• Authorization form provides consent
• For Billing Information
• Notarized signature of student or witnessed by
  Bursars Office employee
• Password protected
• Form available in student packet

• An email notification
• Tells you the payment due date
• Prompts you to view updated bill on CougarNet
• Students can authorize up to five 3rd party email
  addresses to receive the same ebill notification
  including parents
• Authorization instructions included in your
  student packet

(potential financial aid or third party payment

Installment Payment Plan, please remit payment
for the "Current Amount Due" under Installment

received and posted to your account by the

latest E-billing email. Pay by Web Service fees
