• Investigations take place since 1927, more than
  40 000 observation paper forms
• data access problem
• data processing and data analysis problems.

Project mission

• To elaborate a conversion technology from current
  formats to a specific data base
• To develop a user interface for advanced data
  processing
• To create a user interface for integral
  statistical indicators calculation

Results

• Data conversion program has been developed,
• DB has been created (currently 350 000 records)
• User interface has been developed for special
  data manipulation augmentation
• Statistical module have been implemented
• Import/export modules for the data base have been
  established.

Conclusion

• This project is a modern information
  technologies application to ecological and
  biological data and knowledge. The data-analytic
  system has been implemented and is being
  exploited in the ISU Research Institute of
  Biology.
